en buenas manos

︎︎︎ en buenas manos is a portrait series centered on members of my local community, Stuyvesant Heights, Brooklyn, and the stories and care they carry through their hands. This project focuses on individuals whose hands are essential to their daily lives, whether through work, craft, caregiving, or tradition. By pairing portraits with close-up images of hands in action, the goal is to highlight everyday people in a way that feels personal, respectful, and rooted in the community.

︎︎︎ Below, I’ve captured the people who have travelled in and out of my life, the ones who’ve stayed and the ones who I had the pleasure of sharing a brief conversation with. Each and every person that comes into my life I believe does for a reason; the people we come across shapes us into who we are meant to be.

home is where your head’s at

︎︎︎ This collection of images is a photo essay replying to the question “what is home to you?” i was prompted the question in therapy concerning my anxieties about moving for the first time. something that comforted me is the fact that you can take home with you. home can be a feeling, it can also be physical.
